This is my first picture book. I made it in 2021.
Adrian’s Mornings With His Grandma is a board book for children aged 0 to 3. It describes the everyday routine of a one-year-old child who spends the morning with his grandma while his parents work.
I got the opportunity to observe some of my nephew’s interactions with his grandmother in order to generate ideas for scenes to illustrate. I began with exploration sketches based on what I saw in those moments.
I then created basic thumbnail sketches as part of the book planning process.
I then created final drawings from the thumbnail sketches.
